The Cave Research Foundation (CRF) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to:

    - Facilitating research, management and interpretation of caves and karst

      resources.

    - Forming partnerships to study, protect and preserve cave resources and karst

      areas.

    - Promoting the long term conservation of caves and karst ecosystems


The Western Operations of the Cave Research Foundation (CRF West) are dedicated to the exploration, interpretation, and conservation of caves and karst ecosystems in the western region of the United States.

Operation Areas include Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park and Lava Beds National Monument, with projects in Lilburn Cave, Mineral King and Lava Beds.
